HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS NORMALE, SANT’ANNA AND IUSS ANNOUNCED THEIR AGREEMENT TO ESTABLISH A NEW CONSORTIUM TO PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

The Consortium of Higher Education Institutions Normale, Sant’Anna and IUSS has been established to foster access and excellence in higher education, to support academic success of talented students and to ensure that Normale, Sant’Anna and IUSS enhance their international position and competitiveness.

Normale, Sant’Anna and IUSS have signed the agreement formalizing their relationship for enhanced collaboration supporting gifted and highly talented students through the Consortium education and research activities. Vincenzo Barone, director of Scuola Normale Superiore, Pierdomenico Perata, rector of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and Michele Di Francesco, rector of IUSS, have signed the agreement for the new bylaws at the opening ceremony of the new academic year on Thursday, January 25 in Pavia. The bylaws shall come into force fifteen days after notification in the Official Gazette.

As autonomous institutions, Normale, Sant’Anna, IUSS currently hold responsibility for the governance and management of their activities and soon thereafter will have a single Governing Body, a single Audit Committee and a single Committee for Performance Evaluation.
